Rules & Regulations

Invitation

We are an invitational only festival and we reserve the right to accept or deny entries.

Festival Postponement

As we have seen this past season that the world can be unpredictable. If the government mandates another shutdown of all theatres we will provide a suitable solution. More information will be provided in a timely manner should this happen.

Levels

We are a recreational dance festival, meaning dancers who only dance a maximum of 45-60 minute ballet classes per week and a maximum total of 6 hours of dance training a week. We understand dancers may progress at different rates with this amount of training so we ask that you please use your discretion when entering them in levels. For example…if you have a dancer that is on their 3rd year of tap but are dancing at an Intermediate level we ask that you please enter them as intermediate regardless of their years. Same as if you have a dancer who has only taken jazz with no ballet training but are now in an advanced level please feel free to move them into a lower level. We want all of our categories to be fairy separated by ability not necessarily just based on years of training.

Disqualifications

Dance Vibe reserves the right to disqualify any participant who is infringing on the rules or who displays poor sportsmanship.

Complaints

All complaints or problems must be brought to the attention of the festival committee. All decisions by the adjudicators and timers are FINAL. No one is permitted to talk to the adjudicators, timers or writers during the festival. Anyone infringing on this rule will be subject to the disqualification of his or her child/studio.

Good Sportsmanship

Good sportsmanship and proper conduct is mandatory. Improper language and behavior will not be tolerated and is grounds for being expelled from the festival and not invited back. This includes audience members, teachers and students. Please inform your studio that any mocking and excessive cheering to the point of offending is not tolerated. Offenders will be asked to leave. No exceptions.

Rehearsal Hall

Instructors/Studio Owners must share the rehearsal space with ALL studios. Please let your studios know NO parents or spectators are allowed in rehearsal space at any time.
